International Learning

We are delighted to announce that Kelvin Hall School, has been awarded the British Council's International School Award 2019-22, in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.

During the year, students have been involved in many projects across the school, which have enhanced their learning of languages, culture, global issues and raised awareness of their role within the local, national and global communities. Our international learning is based around the the Global Sustainable Development Goals where possible. This year, our projects have been linked to goals 3, 4, 5, 10, 12 and 14. 

 

Below is a list of just some of the projects we have covered in recent years:

 

1. Spanish Exchange with IES Pérez de Ayala in Oviedo.

2. World Aids Day Awareness, in partnership with Hazrat Shahjalal High School in Bangladesh.

3. German Pen Pal project with students at Eichsfeld-Gymnasium in Duderstadt.

4. European Languages Week.

5. Fairtrade

6. Gender Inequality

7. Refugees

8. Rivers of Sierra Leone with our trust school, Ings Primary.
