My career began in the Financial Services Industry, where I worked for Norwich and Peterborough Building Society as a Personal Finance Manager, before relocating to the United States due the progression of my husband’s career. After three years, our family returned to the U.K., settling in Hull where some of the experience I had gained as a volunteer overseas, led to a change in career.
I have since held numerous positions in the Education Sector across the city, working for both the local authority and various secondary schools. This has afforded me valuable experience in many of the essential areas of school life, where I have worked to improve outcomes and create better life chances for some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged student groups.
A graduate of the University of Hull, I am currently on the staff team at Wyke Sixth Form College where I hold the post of Head of Additional Learning Support. Having been employed at Kelvin Hall previously, and as a passionate supporter and advocate of education, I am very much looking forward to drawing on my skills and experience to make a positive contribution to the governing body and wider community of Kelvin Hall School.
