Mental Health & Wellbeing Advice

As part of the Pastoral Team here at Kelvin Hall School, we have Mrs Counter our Wellbeing Coordinator. During term time, Mrs Counter is in school full time supporting students with their emotional wellbeing. She works with identified
students either on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups providing solution focused interventions. Where necessary, Mrs Counter will refer students requiring further support to external agencies (see below for examples of these). Her aim is to motivate and encourage students, and help them to develop their self-esteem and confidence to interact with others and school life. If you think your child may benefit from seeing Mrs. Counter, please contact your child's Pastoral Year Leader who will make the referral.

There is a wide range of additional information available on-line to help children and young people, parents and carers, and professionals to look after their own emotional well-being and that of the children and young people they support.
