WHAT is this subject about?
Business Studies provides students with an insight into the structure, running and organisation of a business. The Cambridge National Certificate in Business and Enterprise comprises three units: Introduction to Business, Planning for Work & Setting Up and Running an Enterprise.

 

WHY should I choose this subject?
Business skills are essential for success in employment and provide fundamental knowledge required by employers, in addition to providing transferable skills for future study. The Cambridge National Certificate in Business and Enterprise introduces pupils to the concepts and principles of running a businessaswell preparing pupils for future employment.

 

WHEN and HOW am I assessed?
Duringthecourse you will take a written examination and carry out 2 controlled assessment tasks. Assessment will take place at the end of year 11.

 

WHICH subjects should I have an aptitude in?
A Level Five in both English and Maths is preferred.

 

WHERE could this subject take me in the future?
This Cambridge National Certificate in Business and Enterprise supportsprogressionto: A-level Business Studies, Economics and Accounting, NVQs in Administration or Accounting and other vocational training such as National Diploma. The Cambridge National Certificate in Business and Enterprise will also provide students with the necessary background knowledge for entry-level positions in businesses.
